Short coat grooming guide

Short coats are the fastest, easiest coats for a groomer to work with. There's no length to trim and almost nothing to mat, so appointments run shorter and cost less than any other coat type.

Care and maintenance

The core service is a bath, blow-out, and nail trim. Some short-coated breeds still shed heavily (Labradors, Boxers), so a de-shedding add-on around seasonal coat blow is worth it even though there's no cutting involved.

How often to groom

Every 8-12 weeks for a bath, brush-out, and nail trim. Short coats rarely mat.

Price impact

A short coat is the baseline: it adds nothing extra to the base groom price for a dog's size.
