Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information GroomQuote (GroomQuote LLC) collects when you use this site, why, and what choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate, since most of what this site actually does with your information is simple.

Information the calculator uses

When you answer the calculator's questions (breed, size, coat type, matting severity, temperament, ZIP code, and add-ons), those answers travel in the page's URL and are used only to calculate the price range shown to you. They are not tied to your name, email, or any account, because this site doesn't have accounts. Nothing from the calculator itself is written to a database.

Information you choose to submit

On the results page, you can optionally tell us what you actually paid for a groom. If you do, we store: the size, coat type, matting severity, temperament, ZIP code, and add-ons you answered; the price you entered; and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address (not your IP address itself) used only to limit how many submissions can come from one visitor in a short period, as a spam/abuse safeguard. That hash cannot be reversed back into your IP address or used to identify you.

We use these submissions in aggregate, blended together with other pet owners' submissions in your region, to make future estimates more accurate. We don't publish, sell, or share individual submissions, and a submission is never displayed back to other visitors as a standalone record.

Accounts

This site does not currently have user accounts, logins, or saved profiles. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated first.

Cookies and advertising

GroomQuote itself does not use tracking or analytics cookies. This site may display advertising served by Google. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services for details.

How long we keep information

Submitted "what did you actually pay" data is kept to power the pricing blend described above. Older submissions naturally stop influencing estimates over time (they fall outside the lookback window our pricing model uses) even though the underlying record isn't automatically deleted. If you'd like a submission removed, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If how this site handles information changes materially, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date above.
